Planning a weekend trip up in November with my dad and brother for a bit of walking. Normally we'd camp, but with it being November something a bit warmer is needed. YHA private room at ~£70 seems the best option at the moment, any better suggestions? Any Wigwams near there? Needs to be cheapish.
family camping pods here for £42 a night which might sleep 3. But iiwy a yha bunk room would be a much preferable option and a B&B even more so. Splash out a little bit and have the comfort of a tv room in the evening, hot showers and a cooked brekkie.

Crikey, too much shouting in bold on that link for my liking 😉
I reckon YHA is the best bet too, B&B probably pushing the budget a bit too much.
The pub beneath Blencathra , near Threkheld, on the A66 where everyone parks to walk over Sharp edge has recently built cabins (behind it) for renting. Not seen inside but worth investigating.

Last time I was there I stayed at http://www.lyntonlodge.co.uk they've got two wee apartments (sort of like bedsits really - bed / sitting / dining room with kitchenette and a shower room off) One is 2 beds plus bed settee the other is a double bed and two bunks. They cost £75/night and having you're own kitchen means you can self cater and save a bit of dough that way too.
