Just need it for the Uk and maybe France , dont want to spend more than £100 so looking for those with a RRp of upto £150 say.

Try the TomTom Outlet store. They do 'refurb' units incl the XL with Europe maps and a free map upgrade thing for around £100. Used my previous one until some schemie nicked it from the car. Missed it so much I went out and got another one. Delivery from Holland I think.
BTW - IQ routes and mapshare are pants and I wouldnt pay extra for them. If you get them for free then fair enough!

Spend a tenner on a decent road map and save the rest.
