hello all, for our sins mrs G. and I are going to be locked up next week at Champneys - Henlow, but we are planning on doing a runner one lunchtime. We don't have pubs here so we not going to miss the chance.. no matter what. ( each to their own health regime is my motto )
so.. can anyone recommend a nice pub.. good beer, good food, within a reasonable taxi distance from Champneys - Henlow.

The Engineers Arms in Henlow does GREAT beer.

You can hire bikes from Priory Marina Cycles in Bedford or Route 55 in Marston Mortaine. No where closer though!!
Oh and if you are really luck you'll get to spend sometime with Sir Jimmy Saville, he practically lives at Henlow Grange 😉
