looking at booking somethings for the wifes birthday end of june, start of july.
dont really mind where that much, just nice scenery, dog walks, local pub and 3 bedrooms as the lads would want a bedroom each. thinking of the dales, but anywhere scenic that way would be considered.
sick of looking at websites, id like to look into something recommended by the great wealth of knowledge and experience that is stw.

End-june may be better: I'm sure I heard someone mention something about some bike race in early July.
Flowery Dell just outside Richmond Yorkshire was lovely.
Brompton Lakes, Richmond. had a lovely week there in October
