Mrs cloudnine wants a short break 3-4 days in June (or maybe even a week) and has mentioned mid wales or maybe snowdonia. Shes quite happy for me to bring my bike so has anyone stayed at a great little cottage / converted barn etc that they could recommend for 2 adults, 2 small children and a labrador. Im not that fussy where it is but ideally somewhere really nice but in easy reach of or in riding distance of a trail centre or some nice singletrack.
Not sure on the names of the cottages, but somebody on here (very kindly) recommended me a campsite in Beddgelert (Cae Du Campsite, very good)where I stopped in April. On the walk along the river from the campsite were 3-4 holiday cottages to let with fantastic views onto the river. Gorgeous place with great walks along river, steam railway (every town in Wales seems to have one) CyB not that far away and very useful for little trips into Carnaerfon (sp?) and Snowdon.

Not sure about dogs though.
Not got any specific recommendations, but do a search for Under The Thatch - they have great cottages all over the place.
We stayed here for new year, it was simply ace!! Lovely village, good pub, well stocked shop etc. Stunning scenery on way into and out of the village!! We found some great walks in nearby hafford forest, It's close (20/25mins) to the coast so all in all a great spot. Devils bridge also nearby but kids might be a bit young? for that walk??

Beautiful, accept "well behaved" dogs, can't remember how big the second bedroom was though.
Beddgelert right on the river, free parking, hop into town.
Just booked a cool little old lifeboat house in Aberdovey for summer 2013 if anyone else is looking to take their OH for a romantic bike holiday/break.. not far from machynlleth and about 35 mins to CB
Wake up with waves lapping literally outside the window!

Staying here in October, so I can't review it for you, but the local country around the Elan Valley is stunning (ridden it many times with Clive Powell)and the accommodation looks up to scratch...
