Recommend me a cottage to rent for a weekend (2 bed max)

I'm looking for a cottage to rent for a long weekend, preferably somewhere nice and desolate, in the country or by the sea. Not too bothered where, but would prefer somewhere with a big open fire!

Anyone got any recommendations?

Have a look at the Landmark Trust - not that cheap, but fill most of your criteria...

(Though you do need to supply your own firewood/coal!)

These folk have a great range of cottages spread around interesting parts of the country. I've used 3/4 over the years,all were pretty much spot on.
