+1 for Pure. I have one of the above in the kitchen, and a Legato micro system in the study. Really very good kit.

+2 for the Pure, if you can stretch the budget, have a look at the Pure Evoke Flow. Top kit that does FM, DAB and WiFi so that you can stream live from the internet, highly recommended.

My mum has a nice Panasonic. None of this polished wood shite.

If you have broadband a internet radio may suit better? More stations...

Just looking for something small to go in the kitchen.

That Evoke does seem ideal.

Touch sensitive LED screen, leather, mahogany, anodised magic.
The Genus Type R is very nice if you can find one. Going for a very reasonable £50 on fleabay. (I paid nearly triple that last year)

My mate just got his mum a very nice little Sony DAB Radio. Worth a look.

Morgan Computers sell off reconditioned Pure DAB radios at very good prices from time to time, you get a warranty I think 1 year instead of two. Both Morgan and Pure are great.

Tranciva IR 804

Dab & FM plus it connects to your wifi for better signal, on that stations are unlimited, plus you can nav to your my music folder on your PC or NAS.

Got mine from argos for about 50 notes 6 months ago, works a treat but I reckon you'd be lucky to find one now.

Tinribz are you sure it connects to your Wifi?

That would mean it streams from the interweb? They are usually £100pds +

I fancy one myself so i can listen to to Jazz online!

I've a Pure, but TBH think that DAB is overrated.

I still listen to the same channel as on a 'normal' radio, and they are very tempermental as to which way the aerial is pointing.

Another vote for Pure. Got one in kitchen with extra speaker for stereo. It's on all day - 6music for tunes, 5 live for footie without the MW sound "issues', kids channels for the smaller family members, 1xtra for dance stuff. Brill. Mind you, looking at evoke flow...
