I use a really old Nokia , it has a good battery life as it has no functions , bar a small led torch .
On my recent world tour i needed a phone with a good camera so i could take pictures as i went, without having to carry a DSLR and a phone .
I have a Konica Minolta DiMage Z3 which takes very good pictures, has huge 12 x optical zoom , but is too big , heavy and probably fragile to carry in pack.
I am on vodaphone pay as you go as i dont use my phone alot and only spend about £10 a month on that , and im not a tech head so simplicity is also important .
Any ideas ?
There are some great ones out there, basically compact cameras with phones inside.
You'll have to google though as I don't know specifics 🙂
The best camera/phone you can currently get is the Nokia N8. If you want to go for a better phone then the Sony Experia Arc is much better but the camera isn't as good.
For your usage, I'd be tempted to say forget the phone and pick up an IXUS.
