Supercool Captain Flashheart! If I ever venture back to classic cars I'd be in one of those (or an earlier model)

😆
Mine's the same colour, with a cream fabric interior and has been loved from new. It lives in cosseted luxury, which I think is rather nice for an "ordinary" car. It's not some super-duper special thing, just a "good" car that my grandfather bought new in Germany, collected from the factory in person and left in his will.

Pigface, it's about the same size as my London pad! In fact, could be bigger! 😉
YoKaiser, if it ain't a W123 it ain't super [s]cool[/s] un-cool! 😉

And, here's the Auto-Bahn-Barge in person;

Not my pic, I should add...and, not the best pic, but there next to a friend's rather lovely V8 MG in the background, at the rather lovely "Drive It" day at the Royal Oak in Bishopstone.

Oh, and I think this is another...

I did wonder if that would crop up. First thing I thought of when I saw the thread title.

Rare as owt, probably worth a bit.

I was just wondering if a DeLorean had been mentioned yet - I briefly had a go in one and the bit I loved was the way you have to climb over the handbrake to get in. I wonder how many people crashed doing that...

There's a feller lives near me who has a DMC-12... It's probably as rubbish as people say, but man does it have some presence.

Obviously if I had one, I'd need to turn it into a back to the future replica though.

Me with my first love, a Renualt 5 Gordini Turbo, probably around 1990....

Very, very, very unreliable car and and very uncool compared to the other Hot Hatchbacks around at the time, wish I could get another, great fun.

Likewise. Tragically, my longing for a Delorean comes simply from a childhood obsession with the BTTF saga. Every time I catch glimpse of a Delorean in real life (oh so rarely) I turn into an excitable child.

Late 80's. When I was all turned up jeans, stripey socks, aran jumper and Doc Marten shoes. I really wanted one of these:

I'm looking at cars at the moment and Mrs MM wants an Audi A4 S-Line but I'm trying to persuade her to get one of these. 🙂

Good old SurfMat used to have quite a good saying about those: "All show, no go"...and y'know what, he was right 😀

get a passat estate as a compromise, doesn't look quite as cr8p as that Skoda for a start...

Not that I would normally wish a passat on anyone.

I'd hazard a guess no one on here owns an un-cooler car than me

A 2004 Daewoo Tacuma. Soon to be for sale, but it's actually been an absolutely brilliant car. Used purely for bike/ snowboard/ dog transporting. Totally reliable, tons of space inside, fairly decent to drive if lacking in oomph, but it'll sit at 70mph with ease.

I see all of your citreons, renaults and fiats and raise you a

NISSAN BLUEBIRD - 1988 with variable timing flick wipe! Oh Yes!

I loved this car boot like a tardis only ever seemed to put stuff in and never take it out! It also had two seperate milometers (?) just for the taxi drivers. I wrapped it round a telegraph pole unfortunatley!

Careful not to tar yourself with the same 'helmet' brush that Surfmat had.

For what its worth you can get an S-line A4 Avant with the same engine as the VRS Estate

Yeah, but STILL an Audi, so not in the slightest bit cool.

Audi lost most of their credibility when Lady Di drove one.
Any remaining vestige of automotive respectability was lost when they modified and ruined the original, beautiful TT because people who couldn't drive kept crashing them.

A brand that, like BMW, has sold it's soul in order to appeal to precisely the kind of people that shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a steering wheel.

Whats the cool alternative then?

Just bought the uncool car I've wanted for a while (a VW Caddy Sportline).

My 17 year old Mercedes W124 is so old and uncool, it will probably be considered cool soon!

What's annoying is that is what Hyundai deem good enough for the UK market, and yet everywhere else gets this triumph of design:
[img] [/img]

If they released that here, they'd corner the 370z/Focus RS/BMW M135/Astra VXR/RenaultSport Megane market in one fell swoop.

What is that exactly? Looks a bit like the Toyota/Subaru coupe - is it a clone?

I still want one of these 8)

[img] [/img]

My brother and Dad had Japanese imported Nissan Pulsar GTi-R's, 2.0 Turbo 4wd in a Nissan Sunny.. Standard 275 BHP, but my brother was running 420 BHP and Dad's was 375 BHP. Unbelievably quick, 0-60 was under 4 seconds in brothers and 4.5 in Dad's. 160+ mph was achieved in both.

My race car, i suppose they are uncool by todays standards 😳
