Mitsubishi Dacia 4x4
Strada Abarth - good choice
Interesting mix of genuinely un-cool and actually incredibly cool cars here. I think matt_outandabout has already posted the ultimate uncool car which is, in reality impossibly cool.
In case anybody was wondering, the coolest car in existence anywhere is a Red 1982 Porsche 944 with black Cookie Cutters, almost like this;

pixelmix - don't they retail at near enough £300k?
jools182 - a renault 4 🙂 I learned to drive in the pick up version of that, gear stick came out of the dash board, great fun in a field aiming at the cows*
*I was 10 and my uncle who ran the farm was with me.
Got to be a 2CV - I've heard all the bad things about them. They are girlie and french. But I want one, I really really want one.
And now especially the corrugated van in jambalaya's post
I must protest most vigorously about a Renault 4 being in a thread about uncool cars.
+1 for Leku and Tomthumb. Lada Niva and a Volvo 240 (estate) for me...oh and an early Unimog
In V6 24V flavour

I thought my Dad was very uncool for buying a new one sometime in the seventies as our main family transport. He didn't keep it very long but didn't trade it for anything much better.
I'd love to find a standard, unmolested S1 106 Rallye. Although like lots of other cars on the thread, its probably a pretty cool car, or at least I think so.
Another uncool but actually pretty cool car, someone around me drives a mint Renault 5 monaco. In gold with leather seats. It is so awful its ace.
That's awesome... I was about to post saying I really wanted a gold vovlo 340 when I was a lad. My matr had a 2 lire one. It was a beast (compared to our 1.1 fiestas), a few years later I met a girl and decided she was the one for me when I found out she had a 340.
I've always liked big Citroens but would dare buy one! I think the C6 looks fantastic, particularly the convex rear screen.
Also like Bristols (of all types!).
I'm with pigface, Renault4's are uber cool so have no place in this ere' thread.
I've owned Smart ForTwos (though don't have one now) I've ran 7 through work fleet and kept a Pulse for years. I love them no matter what anyone thinks, they are cool so again have no place in this thread.
But here's a piccy;

You'll be lucky these days!
I had one back in 97, sold it in 2000 still standard apart from a Magnex exhaust and a Pioneer CD player, and the guy who bought it was just so relieved it was a good condition unmolested car cos all the rest were badly modified heaps even back then! FFWD 12 years, and well... How many are still on the road of the hundreds registered even?
It was a bloody good fun little car though!
Also like Bristols (of all types!).
Every red blooded male likes Big Bristols... It's something to do with something called innuendo so I'm told! 😉
@chojin. My mum is about to sell her Elan turbo if you're interested.
Just bought my "dream" car - a new Berlingo with a modutop 😳
Oddjob - how much? 🙂
Huyjayteens, a man of class and taste. 🙂
Citroens and Bristols are indeed the cultured gentleman's conveyance of choice.
But, like most of the cars on this thread, achingly wonderful and cool.
Hardly any German cars are cool however, not even that Grosser Mercedes on the last page, so they all win.
I want a fiat multipla, do I win?
I don't know, she's on holiday at the moment, if you're serious let me know.

As Johndoh the wedge of cheese that is that Volvo 480.
My dad had Satan's Chariot(Familiale 7seater) in my youth, then a mate from the diving club had a Volvo 262C, both awesome. I had a VW LT camper many years ago too, that was fun. If they were remotely practical for UK roads I'd have one of these in an instant.

Chevy Suburban
Porsche 911
Reading the comments on the Volvo 340 takes me back... we had a 360GL as the family car when I was at school (it replaced our Morris Ital) - I think in a Clarkson tone it was "seriously uncool", everyone took the piss.
As a car it was bloody brilliant, even had the black rubber rear spoiler that weighed almost as much as the car did. A ford escort van drove into us, the ford was written off whereas the Volvo suffered a broken head lamp and replacement headlight wiper (damn those things were expensive!)
There are some seriously uncool cars here, that pig-ugly Vanden-Plas, for example, but the little Renault 4 oozes cool!
That Lada Cossak, is that a Soviet Fiat Panda 4x4? A lot of those communist cars, Yugos and Ladas, are basically Fiats built to a lower standard. Firm I worked for had a couple of Yugos as company cars! 😯
I drove my dad's Volvo 244 for a while, serious fun, I used to rag the nuts off it! I remember watching the Bathurst 500 endurance race in Australia, and there were 244's racing, bloody quick, too, I could happily drive one with updated motor and drivetrain. Possibly in the dark brown my dad's was...
...or maybe not. 😀
