Rap . . . . used to like it until I realised it was just people shouting over a perfectly good record! and I didn't live in 'the hood' that ended that love affair!

Where do you live and what music do you have to like there?

Mos Def - Hip Hop
50 cent - Rap

I highly recommend EL-P very dense but very good, also Madlib; you'll be broke trying to buy the whole collection, he brought out 10 albums last year.

There's a slogan of "rap-lies=hip hop" which is quite charming. The two are inseparable however.

I <3 Hip Hop!

I usually let things like this pass because taste in music is a subjective preference. But you're just wrong about this one. ๐Ÿ˜‰

(Incidentally, how is it possible that a song from a 1997 kids film is better than the majority of mainstream music around at the moment?)

Oh, and I just like this.

(Nice to see idiots still tagging threads by the way.)

(Swearing in some of these vids I think, still not entirely sure on the rules on vids.)

I like Del Tha Funkee Homosapien

Oh and this is a tune

Beastie Boys are my favourite rap group of all time, the samples and the rhymes are untouchable I reckon. Paul's Boutique is a masterpiece.

Agreed. I think I may prefer Ill Communication though, but I haven't listened to Paul's Boutique as much so it hasn't had the same amount of time to sink in ๐Ÿ™‚

Milk D feat Adrock - Spam is worth a listen!
