as in completely irrelevent to me and my life oxboy? why didn't you just say that! so much universal truth and beauty in music it's a shame to ignore it eh. just gotta try find the good stuff. Some of which may not tickle you.
Rap . . . . used to like it until I realised it was just people shouting over a perfectly good record! and I didn't live in 'the hood' that ended that love affair!
Where do you live and what music do you have to like there?
Jeru Da Damaja
Mos Def - Hip Hop
50 cent - Rap
I highly recommend EL-P very dense but very good, also Madlib; you'll be broke trying to buy the whole collection, he brought out 10 albums last year.
Where do you live and what music do you have to like there?
CharlieMugos I live in Leicester and Kasabian! Good Leicester Band!
To be fair I do like the Jay-Z collaberations with Linkin Park.
Cheers all, have been listening to some great new tunes tonight, keep em coming, gonna save this link to favourites ๐
There's a slogan of "rap-lies=hip hop" which is quite charming. The two are inseparable however.
I <3 Hip Hop!
By the way I go by the same name on lastfm, my hip hop library is extensive. Feel free to check out my profile for plenty more.

To be fair I do like the Jay-Z collaberations with Linkin Park.
I usually let things like this pass because taste in music is a subjective preference. But you're just wrong about this one. ๐
A man rapping in a nappie, what's not to like?
It's that time of year ๐
And another....
Few more from my iPod
(Incidentally, how is it possible that a song from a 1997 kids film is better than the majority of mainstream music around at the moment?)
Oh, and I just like this.
(Nice to see idiots still tagging threads by the way.)
(Swearing in some of these vids I think, still not entirely sure on the rules on vids.)

Beastie Boys are my favourite rap group of all time, the samples and the rhymes are untouchable I reckon. Paul's Boutique is a masterpiece.
Agreed. I think I may prefer Ill Communication though, but I haven't listened to Paul's Boutique as much so it hasn't had the same amount of time to sink in ๐
