Just a quickie.
I've got vmpk (a virtual midi synthesiser/sequencer thing) on the Windows laptop, and it just works. Install, plug in a midi keyboard, fiddle with the input/output settings, away you go.
Why does it not do the same on Raspbian? I've had a quick read online and got as far as linking it with QSynth (which I didn't have to do with the Windows version) but that just makes a horrible grating synthesiser noise regardless of what soundfont I'm using.
Any ideas?
The plan is to have the Pi just boot and autorun vmpk so I can plug in the keyboard and a set of headphones and play without the need for a laptop, mouse and power supply.
