I'm after a little advice. I inherited a Heuer Skipper watch from my father as its just sitting in a safe. I recall that the watch cost a few quid back in the '80's and I've done a bit of eBay digging and values seem to be all over the place.

I know that there are quite a few watch affectionados on here. Anyone have any experience of this watch? It's model
number 11640.

Depends on so many factors and if it has different hands or dial from servicing. There's a few websites out there heuerpriceguide that should give you some idea.
values are going up for the desirable autavia models, no idea about the desirability of the yachting models though.

Hi Mr Smith

The watch is all original. It's been worn but is in very good order. I'll have a look on the website you've mentioned.

Ta.

You could contact Ian Blowers (hull & london) and/or Austin Kaye (london).
Blowers do new and pre-owned; Kaye are pre-owned.
Both should be able to give you indicative price with lots of caveats or a price range.
They will need to see & inspect watch if you choose to use them.
