[#7719184]

I saw a chap today wearing a Rammstein hoodie with the WWII style Wermacht/Hitler similar emblem. A step too far? I thought it wasn't required/shouldn't be used personally as it could offend some. Wrong or agree?

What do you think?

Sneaky edit there....

Looks like a very ancient symbolic eagle to me. Didn't the Romans use that?

And those bloody Union Jacks eh? A symbol of oppression across much of the globe. WTF was Geri Halliwell thinking of?

Is the eagle carrying a swastika? No, so I fail to see an issue.

No issue at all so long as they don't bother me. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Personally I think they should be encouraged to go head to head with the one carrying black flag ...

When I'm ruler of the world (need to lay some turf first), I'll be executing anyone with blonde hair, or that uses the word discuss on the internet.

In fact I'll probably let the blonde hair thing go.

Bear in mind that the band describe themselves as more politically left than right.

Saw Laibach in Germany as the Nephilim were supporting. It was ****ing horrible. They had nazi youth drummers at the front of the stage and a swastika made out of axes as a back drop.
The Germans were lapping it up. We left.
The pub we used to drink in was also Skrewdriver's local. Laibach made them look like Boy Scouts.
Apparently Laibach are not Nazis at all.

Countzero the hoodie version he was wearing was an eagle holding a circular wreath with the emblem adjusted inside.

I don't see an immediate problem with this.

Hugo Boss designed the Nazi uniforms, do you worry about people wearing Hogo Boss clothes?

Lemmy wore actual Nazi uniforms, but was clearly no Nazi.

The Olympic stadium in Berlin, one of the great pieces of Nazi architecture, is still very much in use, albeit sans swastikas.

I would say no swastika, no problem.
Probably...

Is complicated...

Swastika predates Mr Hitler ...

To cut long story short someone posted the explanation here.

I wouldn't go to Austria or Poland, they are still into eagles as their national symbols

Good luck with that.

I'm more offended by their shite music than their logos to be honest.

Context innit.
Spike Milligan, Prince Harry, Lemmy, Charlie Chaplin?
Fine by me.

Anyone lacking a decent excuse (being funny, coke/hookers etc) or using the word 'postmodern' should expect wee in their 'ironic' jackboots.

Hugo Boss designed the Nazi uniforms

No he didn't. He was one of the suppliers, though.

Also fair point.
