Can you tell me how long forum threads will be available to view before they are knocked off the system . I personally have a number which contain info i'd like to save if they are going to disappear

I think that they last forever, much like uranium 235 or herpes.
Well I'm not a mod, but a thread I contributed to right when the new site appeared in January is still there. It appears they haven't deleted anything. On the old forum you could find threads going back years if you knew where to look (they got archived after a while).
I'd suggest that you're better off asking on evilzone - chances are threads will be here until some braindead kiddie from there decides to hack the site again.
