Just bought travel insurance from snowcard based on a recomendation here.

On the medical questionaire bit they ask if you have ever been a day patient in a hospital over the last 12 months. I answered no, but forgot that I did go in for a routine colonoscopy (check up where they shove a camera up your arse!)back in Feb. Was in for a couple of hours tops.

Now I'm pretty sure my ass is in tip top condition and unlikely to be the cause of any required treatment, but I'm thinking do I need to let them know about this as it will invalidate my entire premium if I don't?

Or would they only kick up a fuss if I claimed for something related to the appointment i hadn't told them about...ie snap my arm and I'll be just grand.

I'd give them a call tomorrow morning, but I'm flying out at 9am!

Personally, I'd tell them. I don't think it will affect your premium, but for piece of mind, I'd let them know.

Depends if you thing you will have problems with your arse while your away?

I would assume they could exclude impaled seat post because you didn't disclose before.
