Took myself out to Ae this morning to have a look at some hill/quad tracks I had spotted last Sun whilst hiking up Queensberry.
Set off and followed main trail to the end of the Branburn section. At the T-junction at the top of the climb after Branburn and before going onto the boardwalk section to the Edge I turned left on the forest road. There is a Scottish Rights of Way trail leading off this road, takes you into the trees and down to a burn, cross the burn and hike up through the forest on a grassy fire break.

I followed the arrows and quad track till I came to a gate. This gate leads to the quad tracks I had seen the previous week and I was curious to see what they would ride like and maybe add to another, longer route I am planning.
There are 2 tracks. One the SRofW track which leads to the left and the other a quad track leading to the right. This is the track I took which leads down a gravelly farm/hill track.

From there it was back to Ae for a coffee and cake. 15ml round trip
