Roll up all Clarkson haters the annual Xmas special is upon us. Personally I have been looking forward to this one all week and can't be any worse than the shite we have had on all week.

Great Expectations, Downton Abby and Clarkson, all in the same sentence... best bits of Xmarse Tv for me

i did'nt 'get' top gear or clarkson for years, not until i saw the vietnam special the other year, and now i genuinely think its about the funniest thing on Tv. love it, m&s large peanuts and gin at the ready, can't wait.

Looking forward to Top Gear

But missed the David Jason thing, was it realy that bad?

Also missed Ab Fab, is it worth the catch up on the Iplayer?

AbFab was ace, if only for 'The Killing' bit, but that probably only funny if you watched The Killing!

I'll have to catch Top Gear on iPlayer tomorrow, off out very soon. It's just entertaining, take-your-brain-out TV. Yes, some of it is predicatable or scripted or whatever but who cares?!

David Jason thing wasn't actually that bad.. it wasn't cutting edge either though..

Ab Fab was just the same as it used to be.. which made it look a bit dated

I grew out of top gear a while ago now but the xmas specials are very watchable

I am thinking that I should only watch it if there's nothing else on - the last one (the Israeli one) was frankly a bit moronic at times, the bit with the stig baby jesus at the end was embarrasing. the iplayer will give me good excuse to stop whenever I want...

I saw some stuff fall off a roof of a mini, and figured it would be the same 'wacky' program as always - so I turned it off.

Looks as dull as most of the other 'specials'. Contrived, whitless, and borderline racsist.

Can't take any more....there most be something else on.......

Previous Specials have been entertaining. Africa, Vietnam and the south american one for example.

But this one, well i changed channel when it got to the garden party bit.

Boring ! Total lack of new ideas. Very poor effort indeed.

Best one so far, great camera work, and sound quality as per usual, so funny, educational, and clever.

But i seemed to watch the top gear india programe, as opposed to every one else who watched something else

First time ever I turned them off. It was a rehash of "stunts" that had been in previous specials. The oh so wacky lets bully May is very old now. Change please or fade away.

Jaguar an indian owned company got good publicity, as did the lawnmower company, Airfix,JCB, and a few other british companies, pity Camerooon had to appear, only for a very short time though.

Pity the windows dont open on the newer rail rolling stock or would have tried with a singletack banner, or perhaps not a good idea.

I really don't like the top gear series any more but I have to say that I (not quite thoroughly) enjoyed that..

Does what it says on the tin really.. why would you expect more..? It's 3 petrolheads for gawdsake.. I can't immediately think of a more witless breed..

what larks hey Pip..!

Why is it so faked-scripted?? it's easy to spot.
I love Topgear but hate the way the fake things.

Because for those that haven't noticed it's long been a light entertainment comedy show and not 'serious' motoring journalism.

In its correct context it's decent (if predictable) programme making.
