if like me you thought your beloved freeview recorder had died after several years of faultless service do not despair

it turns out that someone at Sony is a muppet

Thank God for that. Luckily is isn't in our sitting room so it hasn't been too much bother. I thought it was knackered.

Freeview are going to be sending out loads of filters for freewiev boxes in the next month to filter the interference from the new mobile phone signals .

So expect lots of diruption while it happens,

this is a separate problem from the 4g one

sony are blaming the people that do the EPG as they sent out the update (BBC reported it wrong- basing it on a 1yr old sony forum question!)

anyway its fixed now

just unplug the box for a minute and turn it back on, everythings back!
