The guests tonight are:
David Dimbleby chairs Question Time from Derby. Panellists include energy and climate change secretary Ed Davey MP, former home secretary Alan Johnson MP, Conservative MP Louise Mensch, Sunday Times and Independent columnist Dominic Lawson, and John Lydon, former lead singer of the Sex Pistols and founder of the band Public Image Ltd.
I'm hoping for fireworks!
Do you think they'll discuss musical credibility vs. butter advertising?
Are you calling him an Anchor? ๐
I expect there will be some forthright views on bankers though.
Ohh, isn't this full of double entendres!
Wonder whether John pays tax in the UK these days?
Well, he lives in the US I believe
Seriously, who GAF about what some has-been punk has to say about the news of the day/week? What a ridiculous addition to the panel.
I gave up watching this, it's mostly shite.
Sometimes OK if a moderate like Ashdown comes on

Could it be any worse than having Will Young on there?
Could it be any worse than having Will Young on there?
Have they done that? Jeebus. Although, to be fair, when I've seen him interviewed he comes across as pretty informed and articulate, qualities that Ive not seen from Mr Lydon.
Could it be any worse than having [s]Will Young on there[/s] to watch it?
I expect to be royally (sic) entertained by the inclusion of one of my favourite occasional polemicists.
I'm also amused by people who haven't managed to achieve much of note, referring to others who have, as "has beens".
Still is "being" though, I understand. Public Image got good reviews across the board for their latest tour, financed by Johnny doing the (amusing) butter advert.

I think its fair to say Johnny has done rather more for music, though (and he is VERY articulate). Still, they're not gonna be talking about music are they?

Holy vocabulary Batman - there's no need for that on STW

Are you're confusing having achieved something of note with being known for having achieved something of note?
Seriously, who GAF about what some has-been punk has to say about the news of the day/week? What a ridiculous addition to the panel.
THIS though I would add somethign about him living abroad asw ell so really WTF has it got to do with him.
Did they really have Will young on there?
Was Cheryl Cole busy that week?
Thank God radio 4 still has standards is all i am saying
It's part of Auntie's attempt to be more relevant and in touch. They are doing the same with Newsnight. Constant dumbing down. Louise Mensch irritating normally and I guess Lawson will wonder if he has stumbled on to the set of Shooting Stars by mistake. Will Young made a decent fist of it. ๐
Banker bashing, climate change BS and female grunting at Wimbledon are the first three topics according to my source. So if you are going and preparing questions, you know what topics to choose.
I'm also amused by people who haven't managed to achieve much of note, referring to others who have, as "has beens".
Are you saying that the only people who are allowed to comment are those with equal or greater achievements? How does the hierarchy work? Can you provide a link to the rating and scaling formulae as I'm worried about who I'm allowed to criticise now.
Sarcasm aside, you're kidding, right?
I like it when Will Self is on it.
Are you saying that the only people who are allowed to comment are those with equal or greater achievements?
No. I just think that those who describe others as "has beens" need a reality check. One day, they may have achieved something themselves and graduate to the same level...
will young looked completely lost until they got onto the gay marriage question and he made his point very well.
lydon is just an agitator. no need really.
will young looked completely lost until they got onto the gay marriage question
So they do talk about music!
Tony Robinson was on a few weeks ago and i thought he was pretty good.
Maybe John Lydon will have an opinion thats in line with the public and will voice it.Unlike politicians who just look to cover their backs all the time.
Johnson plays a fairly straight bat these days. Still not the most inspiring line up.
Forgot to watch it. Any good?
Caught last 40m or so and as expected. Faintly embarrassing for all concerned. Lawson and Johnson had several face palms!!!! Hopefully Auntie will have learned a lesson, but I doubt it!!!
