If you aint seen it, take the time, it's a bit of a slow starter (looks quite dark too) but lightens up (story/comedy) & worth the watch IMO

Its actually better than you may know.
Most of the movie references various 70-80 Chinese tv mini series. eE.g. the bit where the main character heals himself inside the metal box refers to a series (roughly translated as Heaven Metamorphous) where the ultimate level of kungfu is when you encase yourself in a silk cocoon and regenerate to a younger age - and gain a zillion kill points. It was a serious drama. Brilliant series including themes like finding out the head monk is you dad and falling in love with your a girl then finding out she is your half sister.
I watched it last night on ... thought it was brilliant.
I laughed out loud at the woman hitting the billboard.
