Cheap enough to merit it's own thread?

Very nice, but the picture seems to show a top cap lockout, description says remote pushloc. Are fox forks push to lock or push to unlock these days?

I got a set of these and put them on my Cascade, great fork. Mine are the remote lock out that has 2 levers both push, one to lock and the other to release. I have an on top of bar lever for my seat post.

Absolute bargain.

They've got the 34 Rhythm for £299 too.

They popped up on here a few weeks ago... I bought some. But sent them back. Remote lock out only (2 position lever included), but very basic and the heaviest fork I've handled in years. Decided against putting them on my ISO owing to weight and lack of fork-top lever (ie. not as shown in Merlin's pictures).

Merlin were great as usual. Forks sent out quickly and easy returns.

Basic can be good, I think they perform really well and honestly haven't noticed them being too heavy. They replaced a set of Salsa carbon rigid forks on my Cascade so you'd think I would notice them being heavy....

I had some 34 Rythm a few years ago and thought they were good too.

Is the remote just for the forks or does it have a cable exit for the shock as well? And is it still push to unlock, release to lock?

What is rhythm?

It was factory and performance last time I got some or similar.

I think the rhythm is basically just a bit heavier than the performance and not as adjustable as the factory.

The 130mm Fox 34 Merlin are selling is a very heavy fork, 2135gms on my digital scales, that's almost the weight of a cheap Recon/Judy fork!

Thanks.

Got to admit I've got a lot of love for fox forks. Barely ever needed to touch them over the years.

But never seen them this cheap!

Think my last set were well over 900 (factory.)

That's a heavy fork, I just replaced 120mm Yari (2040g) with 120mm Reba (1580g) & some lighter tyres to shave a kilo off my bike.

My 34s were 400g lighter than the recons I took off.

What is rhythm?

GRIP damper, thicker walled stanchions, different alloy lowers, no air release buttons.

I have the 36 Rhythm as it's a great fork considering it's Fox's "low" end model.

That's because there are many types of Fox 34. The Merlin ones are heavy as they are fully Aluminium, not the lighter Magnesium lowers you get on the lighter 34's. It's a good fork for the price, but I sent them back as they are really heavy for a 130mm fork. For comparison (all 130mm) - Pike = 1780gms, Sid = 1500/1600gms, REBA = 1600gms etc If weight is no concern then they are a great buy.
