I need pics of proof!

Sorry it took a while!

Here's one of the AutobahnBarge, with a friends (now departed) MG in front! Not a great pic, I'm afraid, am still sorting out a load of old photos to go on to Flickr.

Pity Tom Sheppard ditched LR and went to Mercedes G-Wagens!

Enjoyed the Land Rover episode a lot more than the Mexico Episode, more interesting side stories. Boy they must use a lot of 'new/refurbed' kit to get em done in 8 weeks (props to Stoner?), though what the hell did the original owner do to the poor Landy to break the chassis?

..And if yout going to go to this much trouble (& no doubt expense) why not galvanise the chassis, so that it will at least last the distance. Though no doubt it'll be sold to a collection/collector (& stored)

there could be anything in that harris build, bearing in mind there's vids on youtube of a Harris driven drag strip Mk1. No expert but it wouldn't surprise me if the one featured was running maybe 250bhp+ and/or loads of torque as the speed difference was massive, yet I cannot see the car itself being lightened much although i am probably wrong. The back seat's in my Mk1 weighed next to nothing - was sound deadening to take out. You can also get some panels such as the bonnet/boot/door skins/boot skins etc in alloy, which would make a difference.
