Didn't rate the film much but never seen Martin Freeman do anything bad so might give it a go.

Fargo - one of my all-time favourite movies, but then, the Coen brothers can do little wrong for me. Not sure about a TV spin off, but I'm recoding it anyway.

+a lot. That film did no-one any favours. In fact, it made me long for the Eighties Beeb television production and the Zaphod head that made Blakes 7 look like a miracle of special effects.

The missus is watching it while I'm doing some accounts. She's laughing quite a lot. I'm not. Me knows who has the better deal.

The first hammer hit was brilliant. What a picture her face was.

Loving it so far.

Good enough to enjoy - It doesn't quite make it great for me somehow..

Maybe it's Freeman doing more Freeman with a splash of 'ohgee'..

The accents, music and landscapes of the original seemed to generate the rythm of the edits/direction (or vice versa) - maybe it's that - hard act to follow..

It's going to be good to offset the weekly beheadings in GoT. PSA: New series of Mad Men started this week too.

Poor imitation of the film from what I could be bothered to watch!

I genuinely enjoyed this. It evokes the film, but it isn't a re-hash. Homage rather than imitation.

Thornton is wonderful, quite different to the hitmen of the film. I'm not sure he's really just aping Chigurh in NCFOM. I don't believe Chigurh would ever have incited a murder while hanging about in a hospital waiting room - Thornton's character is far more impish.

Yup ,I liked it a lot and as far as I could tell, it's really not meant to be copy or remake of the film, just roughly based around the same type of story and characters.

Just watched it - I'm a big fan of the film and I thought this was worthy of watching episode 2.

I wasn't sure if it would be any good and was glad it wasn't a rip-off - they've used similar characters eg the female cop in the film is the chief (AFAIK), was pregnant and ate with her hubby a lot - in this they've mixed up the traits of the cast a bit so the main cop is male, his wife is preggars though they were scoffing lots too; and played with the storyline so there are similarities.

The initial hammer blow was pure genius too 😯

Great bit of dark comedy, was concerned about freeman in it but I thought he was pretty good, billy bob was excellent.

Highly irregular is the time I found a human foot in a toaster oven

Looking forward to next week.

Liked it a lot. Just a smidgen of Twin Peaks about it, too, I thought.
