Have you got a list of the cinemas that are showing it? (Bonus points if you can point me in the direction of one in loughborough/leicester area!)

The sensible one would be the final cut of course, what they actually do could be anything though!

I think it's ones of the dullest sci fi films I've ever seen.

Whoa! I first saw it when I was 7. I can't tire of it. It has a rawness about it and the odd few editing jilts give it an honesty.

One of the few sci fi films that I like.

Everyone the bfi are promoting it so there might be links on their site?

We saw it at the cameo in edinburgh on the last round- not sure which version it was tbh, a remix'd one though. Still fantastic, I barely breathed in some bits. It's not about the plot or the famous speeches so much for me, it's the world it creates.

fan but not sure if I will - to me it is inextricably linked to it's era (I mean the year it was filmed of course - like all Scifi) . I enjoy it but wince as well - like the Rio video on yacht (yes it's so much better than that - but it's a feeling I@m trying to convey ๐Ÿ™‚ ) ..

I'm not saying one is better, but as a comparison: 2001.

I wonder if Metropolis was a cited influence for Bladerunner - it seems rooted in the style of the time - but yet the material for the film seems timeless.

Yeah, it's on at the Cameo in Edinburgh again in a couple of weeks.
They've been doing classic sci-fi - went to see Aliens last week.

I liked the narrative in the "non directors cut". Made it even more Film Noir.

The remastered version is well worth watching at the cinema, they've cleaned up the print and so much extra detail on the fabulous sets is revealed

It was my favourite film long before it was popular to be your favourite film!

I'd heard a while ago that a 'Final Cut' version was coming and now the excitment is building....

So does that mean I'm now cool because I've always thought it 's a bit lame?

Geetee1972 (alot) earlier:

I have seen this film thing that you people would not believe. Rutger Hauer on fire on the silver screen, I've seen Harrison Ford bleed. All those moments, will one day be found by millions of other film geeks..

Time ...for countless.. new endings.

One of my fave films, love the original with the narration, as said above the later edits take away any discussion that Deckard is a ............... SPOILER

I forgot just how much smoking everyone does and how much drinking Deckard does in the film.
