Tried to buy some of the Soundmagic headphones on Amazon black friday deal - waited for the deal to become active (watched the Amazon timer tick down to zero) then went straight to put it in my basket. It immediately became unavailable and I couldn't do it so I quickly went to get in the queue for one and found I was 350th ish 😯 in the queue. All in the space of around 15 seconds.

Something fishy going on there. 🙁

Well I bought a MacBook Air 13" for mrs xiphon.

PC World were having a "Black Friday" sale.. not a huge discount, but about the same as the academic discount mrs xiphon would have used in a few months.

I must have high expectations - there don't seem to be any decent deals out there that you couldn't get most days anyway

Says not applicable to the contents of your basket when I tried, so I assumed ipads were exempt. (I tried a black iPad mini)

They asked me why we had blackfriday in the uk

I had a colleague in the US ask me if we celebrated Independence Day, so a random sale day seems reasonable.

I have just bought a TV for my son from ebuyer.

I cant seem to find any reviews on it but a 32 inch / smart / 1080p / 3d tv for £219 seems to be a bargain!

http://www.ebuyer.com/daily-deals

(please don't tell me it is really rubbish now!)

Yeah, a lot of the old skate shoe manufacturers seem to produce more indie/fashion shoes/plimsolls rather than old chunky skate shoes these days.. still £12 isn't too bad for a set of DCs..
