Specifics, please. Actually, hidden somewhere about the house is my late dad's old Belstaff jacket and overtrousers. Gotta be somewhere around 50+ years old.

I started motorcycling in 78. I think a trailmaster jkt was about £75-£80 then. When I saw one a couple years ago (in a men's fashion boutique) I couldn't believe they were £500. I suppose that it isn't too far off the inflation over 32 years but it was still a shock.

If you have the money and you can get one for £100 then my advise would be too get one. Assuming that they are of a comparable quality to the ones of the 70s.

If you buy a motorcycling one they are around £300 - with a detachable liner. Yet the fashion one is around £500 with no liner 😐

I'm really going to have to search hard for my dad's old jacket. Not that it's going on fleabay, I wanna wear it. Really gotten into waxed cotton coats after picking up a nice wool lined Dickies one with brass fittings for a tenner, then a Barbour Stockman for eighty squids.

I may have to sell it, since returning home in it yesterday there appears to be a pubescent "greenham common" type camp pitched outside my house, I can't bear the screaming and applause every time I go near a bloody window! a man only has so much stamina!!

Sure i was reading a newspaper this week with a notice/advert by Belstaff saying that loads of stock had been stolen and for the public not to buy from anyone except authorised dealers. Can't find any story on the web about a raid, but pretty sure i didn't dream it. would have been in the Times or Telegraph in midweek. 😕

EDIT, Hey, Nutt, sure it's perfectly legit; that's just what TK do, innit!

TKMaxx in Leeds have had a selection of the leather ones for a few weeks.

Mostly in lime green or bright red though.

That jacket + turtleneck = U Boat captain. Work on your comedy German accent, the chicks will love it.
