Cheers, I'll try and convince my wife to miss her sci fi series for a night and watch this (I suspect I'll be up after she's gone to bed to watch it though!).
Roger Bannister and I are 'god- brothers' in as much as we both have the same godfather, Vincent Llewellyn Griffiths RIP.
There the similarities end. RB is an all round star, an academic and an athlete. Whilst I most certainly am not!
Watched this again last night having only caught the tail end of it first time around. The bit about the race and McWhirter's lengthy build up in the announcement of the result is wonderful!
