Cloud here. Sad times. I'd drive out to hay bluff if it was clear....

Amazing photos of it from my sister on the Suffolk coast. In Reading the clouds are covering the show

A green hue with long exposure pic nothing with my actual eyes. North Oxfordshire but can’t be arsed to drive to the darkness

You won't catch me out with this!

I've seen a couple of films like this, everyone that watched this will either be blinded or be a zombie by morning.

I'm off to the bunker!

Reads post, steps outside the front door, looks up, feels rain, goes back indoors. 🤷🏼

Skies cleared a bit, but not enough to encourage me to leave the house. PXL_20231105_221617847.NIGHT

Just Starlink here. We were hoping for natural awesomeness and were freaked out by Elonness.

From the south side of Glasgow…even despite the light pollution. First time ever and that includes a failed northern lights trip to Iceland.

I'm in Manchester.

We don't do 'sky' at this time of year.

Bah humbug 🙁

Some nice pictures above!

I went out 2345-0015 last night to the top of one of the downs on the SDW and didn't see anything. Despite numerous long exposure shots

Apparently according to an astronomer on R4 this morning who lives on the coast in Sussex it was at its best around 7pm round our way

This is from the back door last night. The photo is much better than you could see with the naked eye though - that was just a green smudge.
It's amazing what a phone camera does these days! (Edit - rural Aberdeenshire)

For the first time, I actually dragged myself out of the house instead of seeing the alerts and thinking "but it's cold and dark, and, er, I'm washing my hair... Maybe next time." Glad I did:

Much less impressive with the naked eye, but still pretty magical when you're staring at the sky and realise that the curtains of white light shimmering slightly are what you've been hoping to see for years.

This was taken up a hill in Northumberland, looking more or less west, strangely. My friend took some of a "Steve" looking south from the coast.
