Is Heads Up an americanism?

I'm pretty sensitive to Americanisms, but that one doesn't trigger the twitch.

About time we had another religion thread, isn't it?

Or maybe a casual chat about racism or football or politics or (bizarrely) Orange 5's?

Yes. Now don't spend the next 10 pages of forum trying to tell us otherwise.

Heads up the inner ring. That's a "Mexican", rather than American though. Apparently.

For the love of god, no!

you can't do that under the Persimmon Act of 1954 as made famous in the closing scene of Mark Bainbridge's classic film, "Jabba".

The plural is Nazis.

Not Nazi's, and definitely not Nazies (which sounds like a town in Southern France, but isn't).

Not Nazi's, and definitely not Nazies (which sounds like a town in Southern France, but isn't).

Me fail English? That's unpossible!

Might just be to do with moderators needing to go on holiday?

i hadn't noticed anything bad recently... but then again i never read the threads about politics and religion, football etc!

i wonder who the mods are under pressure from? if its people reporting stuff then each report is dealt with on an individual basis and reporters and the reported should take the mods decision as final surely?

Elephant in the room? Tone on here and quality of discussions markedly improved during a "certain period of absence" recently and fell immediately when this ended. Could be a coincidence, after all correlation doesn't equal causation, but....

Good for the mods if they are trying to keep the tone up.

maybe there's a STW buyout looming, but the potential buyers want the toilet flushing and the skid-marks scrubbing off before they park their posteriors.

There are some very deep stains that will need bleach and a wire brush.
