Just watched the Primal Scream doc on BBC4 but was thinking about this on the ride home Thursday, Leftism's classic but....
Neither. Massive Attack - Protection.
All of them, which first?
...or Underworld, Beaucoup Fish

Neither. Massive Attack - Protection.
Blue Lines FTW!!!
+1 for all of them if its a long messy night
I never got into Massive Attack, dunno why, like Radiohead I 'spose never appealed at the time. Not heard Beaucoup fish for beards! I've got that somewhere...
Spiritualised lazer guided melodies if you please!
leftism ftw
All +sasha and digweed northern exposure
Screamadelica here, I think when it came out it was one of the best albums ever although Leftism is pretty awesome as well.
Laser guided melodies is ace, but doesn't fit with these others - its for a different type of night (IMO)
Leftism, they were toured doing it again live couple if months back - it was very very good. Followed by Massive attack's no-protection
post club One Dove - Morning Dove White is great.
Screamadelica or Blue Lines for coming down.
Leftism for that initial slightly edgy coming up stage and early bliss ๐
Screamadelica
Saw that BBC4 show, WHAT an album
Leftism + Global Communication + John Beltran + Lazer Guided Melodies...
Pre night out was always techno (or DnB depending on where we were going....normally the Que Club)
After was usually Journeys by DJ - Coldcut, Massive Attack, Children of the Bong, any Ninja Tune
played on repeat until the 1000 yard stares set in, and thoughts turned to to trying to eat a chip, then chewing it for half an hour before dropping another pill.
I seem to pass-out in a blissful haze by the time 'Melt' ends on Leftism!
Hmm Maybe Sabres of Paradise - Smokebelch II (David Holmes mix) somewhere during the night.
remember all that. never really listen to it now. old.
Leftism.
Still fondly remember seeing the Liveism tour at the Anson Rooms. Definitely one of my top ten gigs.
Definitely Leftism
Edit: or Portishead - Dummy
i used to like a bit of neil young on a comedown or smith and mighty-bass is maternal circa 1995
UFOrb used to shut people up.
Blue Room- longest ever single or something similar?
But Leftism gets my vote. I remember dancing to it with my now 19 year old son when he was in nappies. Hi Rob ๐
Massive Attack = Blue Lines
orb - Adventures in the inderworld
Spaceman 3 end of thread!
All good though
Spacemen 3 would have been a bit too much for me - maybe Playing with Fire would have been OK, but I preferred Perfect Prescription. Trouble is, by the time I had discovered allnighters & chemicals I had forgotten about all the great music I used to listen to!
Global Communication - 76:14, a bit of Basic Channel, or Susumu Yokota - Sakura.
Give em enough dope vol 2, mostly because of this

this album with mushrooms ๐
+1 for UFOrb
Coldcut's 'Let Us Play!' is an old favourite too.
am I the only person who didn't buy an album between 1989 and 1994.. preferring to rely on the latest tapes from the radio shows.. raves and parties..?
All of the above and:
The Times: "Pure".
all of em..
Spacemen 3,one of mi favourite's of all time, ahhh..

Have to agree, to be honest. But the documentary last night was great. Especially the stuff about Loaded.
Good to see some spacemen 3 fans on here ๐
Aphex twin, selected ambient works
The beloved, blissed out
Spacemen 3, reoccurring
Depthcharge, lust
And at Dawn I used to run a microphone from the stereo out of the window and amplify the Dawn chorus x 10
Bloody amazing
Uforb is their best imo
Always used to drift off to klf/chill out. Its a classic. And it has sheep on the cover.
Leftfield.
Paul Daley was at Cake in Inverness recently.
leftism is anxious..
screamadelica is a huge group hug..
Every time I listen to Screamadelica I get that acid taste/feeling in the back of my throat. When I hear Massive Attack I can feel my jaw start clamping like I'm coming down. Play DJ Tim & Misjah's Access though... 8)
Black Dog, Orb, Aphex Twin etc.
