Possibly stupid floor tile grouting question

How long should you stay off the tiles for whilst the grout is setting? Does grout 'set'? What is grout?

The first bit's the important bit, the other two are just idle curiosity...

It should say on the packaging (for how long). Yes it sets. It is grout.

24h usually, depends how warm room is but usually a day.
