Those Quaker oats sachets with -Good Morning- message make my day. Very handfull they are nuked in microwave with milk, then added with dried pineapples, raisins, dried cherries, almonds, and toasted bagels with unsalted butter drive me all the way to the Lunch.

Golden syrup - but just occasionally, when I feel like a chocolate hit, a big fat dollup of Nutella - mmmmmm

I may try Nutella and banana tomorrow though ๐Ÿ™‚

Posh oats (big and chewy) made 50:50 milk and water, cook slow until nice and thick, dollop into bowl, pour some cold milk to make a moat around the outside and then plenty of sugar over the top. Normally white but prefer dark if we have any.

Cold milk cools the edges so you can eat it faster, but the middle will still stay hot. When you run out of moat a refill is mandatory ๐Ÿ™‚

Leave the horrible oat-so-simple over-flavoured sachets of mush for the gf who can't differentiate between big soft chewy oats and undercooked oats ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S - And cooked the proper way in a saucepan, cos we don't have a microwave...

I usually do normal porage, but I'm having a trial on oat bran, and it is really erm ... solid. Probably go back to normal....
