FFS!!!

Our prime minister in waiting will be visiting our glorious city in the coming weeks. It'll be a wizzer wheeze I'm sure. take all your old Eton chums up to the provinces to briefly pretend you know where the north of England is.

But the ****ing nonsense has started already. I watched yesterday as a delivery of bottled water was delivered to the midland hotel under the watchful eye of armed police. Armed Police?!!!! for a delivery of water.

This morning the cordons have started to go up. And the signs saying all the roads are going to be closed. The vans full of armed robocops will be arriving en masse shortly I'm sure.

All this, I presume is to ensure they don't actually come into contact with any 'real' people. Perish the thought that their delicate sensibilities might be offended by them actually encounter a member of the public, who.... horror of horrors... might do something like express a *ing opinion. Or they might hear something that hasn't been filtered through a *ing focus group and their *ing press officer

Is it any *ing wonder the bloody country is in the state that its in. If any politician wanted to do us all a favour, heres a *ing idea. Why not think: "actually... closing off the entire city centre might actually inconvenience more than a few people. And do we really need 3000 police? I'm sure the public good would be better served if they were doing something more consructive with their time"

Some chance!

*s!!!!

take all your old Eton chums

He got his PhD at the University of Edinburgh. And is Scottish. So I am sure he knows where the north of England is, as it is 'down south' to him anyway.

If I remember correctly binners, you published an almost exactly identical rant about the Labour conference about 12 months ago. It is nice to see that your opinions show a consistency which Hora can only aspire to. ๐Ÿ™‚

Does no one actually read a post properly??

Almost never.

LOL - I blame that on the OP coming back and editing his post.

Ahem.

I took it as a rant about politicians in general, despite the fact that it was focusing on the Tories. The title of the thread after all was, "Politicians living in a different ****ing universe"

BTW, I'm impressed that Binners gets his rants published ........ how does one go about that ?

Hmmmmmmmm There's something missing. Can I have some marks out of ten for my ranting please? Obviously I'll be marked down for repetition

Well you would get low marks from me for relying too much on the "Tories are all posh toffs" in your rant.
It's a pretty p1ss easy thing to do, and has been done many times before.

as for guarding the drinking water, I consider that a sensible precaution to prevent deadlydarcy from peeing in CallMeDave's bottle of Malvern's Finest water ๐Ÿ™‚

Yup, it's a nightmare. I work on Oxford St above rockworld so am looking forward to endless gridlock down oxford road for my commute. This combined with the stoodents being back and it promises to be more hairy than usual.

Yeah I know, they're all posh toffs, in fact everyone knows that ...... that's my point.

Although to be fair to Binners, having reread his post, he didn't really rely on that, that much.

Armed Police?!!!! for a delivery of water

Wise move. If I found it beforehand, I'd certainly p155 in it.
