Hi all,
Been a heavy police motorcade flying up and down the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh the past week or so, about 8 bikes, 4 BMW style ARVs a few more average cars and a Group 4 van. Im assuming its a prisoner transport of some kind, but dont know what would warrant that level of security? Anyone know? Just being nosey really

Possibly carrying the guys to court that were looking to shoot some UDA ex terrorists. I'd imagine that would involve some tight security.

Anyone that fails to shoot Adair isn't much use at their job, given the way he swans about Ayrshire with his big prison bitch.

@nbitf - he's not exactly keeping a low profile or hard to identify is he. Possibly the reason they have ended up in court, it has been said before, most criminals are a bit thick.

There was something similar on the East bound M56 a couple of Fridays ago. T-Pack style there was an obvious big white prison van in the outside lane with a lead car some distance in front, one closer to the front of the van, 4 BMW's of various guise in the middle lane and a couple of X 5's bringing up the rear. They looked to be moving at a decent speed, but obviously governed by the van.

Quite a lot of support and wouldn't have been surprised if at least one wasn't a AR unit

Yes it's the Adair High Court trial. As the accused are spread amongst various jails there will be different convoys each day.
