Changed taps on sink in downstairs toilet but now must have an air lock in cold water system as no cold water comes out of taps to bath, sink or fill the loo in main bathroom.

Any useful ideas how to fix it myself?

Thanks

no such thing - perhaps you left the stop cock turned off ?

if taps are open then the air would come out first, sure the stopcock is open and the handle didn't just spin?

it is possible the cold supplies are tank fed not mains fed

do you have cold water from kitchen sink?

Lol I used to get an "airlock" in upstairs bathroom cold tap.
Used to open tap and proceed to give it a blow into tap and it would run again.
Insert further BJ jokes.

Get a hose pipe and connect it to a tap that works. stick the other end on one of the taps that's not working. Open that tap then turn on the hose. That will force water up the pipe and past the airlock. There are risks with this, you might overflow the water tank so keep listening for gurgly splashy noises.

How can you overflow the watertank with a hosepipe that's presumably fed from it?

big johns advice is good

hosepipe would be connected to mains so could overflow the tank

op was 4 hrs ago though and airlocks will often disappear by themselves given time
