Well what do you all think? Have to confess that I rather think it'll not be to so many folk's taste on here, but I'm rather proud of it.

This bike is good bike because it is like my bike.

Mudguards are horrific? Maybe, but they stop me getting a wet arse etc.
As for size...it's a 20.5. I'm 6"2 with a 36" inside leg.
Stem length...I kept thinking it was a bit long, but I took the bike out today for the first time and in all honesty it just feels right and balanced.
Any way lose the mudguards, lose the spoke protector, get your front hose corrected to right length, ditch the gears and get it muddy and scratched up a bit and you'll be fine... 😉
well the important thing is if it fits and feels right then it must be.....

I've already got a bike like that 69er...it's my singlespeed. Although that has mudguards on it at the moment too!

I am aware that mudguards stop you getting wet. I am also aware that they look horrific on a mountain bike 🙂

It looks horrific and would rather get a little bit wetter that have jolly looking bits of plastic fastened to my bike.

yeah, cos wearing a bulbous plastic/polystyrene mushroomy thing on your head makes you look really cool! you do wear one don't you? cycling makes you look like a spod!

aesthetics. MTBers just don't look cool, so no point going on about this or that looks crap or wrong. you look like a dork anyway, despite the bike!

Its not just your own comfort/appearance you have to consider. Most important is that the bike has to look good, and mudguards have a tendency to spoil the aesthetic composition. 🙂

They keep you less wet but look crap on a MTB.

By all means ride with them on, but take them off for the photos.

It's a nice bike. As for the size, it's tough getting stuff to look right when your big.
I think Brakes looks like a person having a good time on his bike. If he was dressed like that at a serious social function I'd be damnright unimpressed. I don't care what TJ thinks. maybe he forgot an emoticon, oh dear! anyway. Nice bike
