Looking for plain, good quality t-shirts. Preferably v neck or 3 button types. Normally buy from Next and the like but they don’t last and I’d rather buy sustainably made if possible. Any recommendations?
Albam are the best I've bought recently. Bit pricey at RRP but can be found in sales.
Looked at Hebtroco but not a pocket fan. Just useless on a T-shirt. I’ll check out Albam, thanks for the tip.
This subject came up last year, not from me but I followed one of the recommendations, depends what you're doing in them but right at the other end of the spectrum from Hebco are These which I bulk bought and have been decent.
Two kids in full childcare means anything 'new' comes from Depop at the moment but looking forward to trying some Hebco when funds allow

Like funkmaster says, pockets on T-shirts are just wrong. Come to that they’re wrong on shirts too!
Only round neck from Community Clothing. Think the company themselves are great. Prefer three button or shallow V. Round neck tend to go baggy. They’ll be worn most days, either alone or under a jumper. Sounds a bit weird but I’ve just gone off shirts recently so T-shirt’s it is
Sunspel, pricey, but worth it imo.
If you can cope with the American spelling these are very good quality. Danish company, made in Portugal and eco friendly dyes etc

Earth Wardrobe £7 for organic cotton, £12 for bamboo. Nice colours, c02 neutral, vegan etc. quick delivery and decent quality stuff
I got a couple of the Earth Wardrobe bamboo Ts last year - probably from a thread on here.
Decent quality and feel, lasting well,nice and soft to wear in bed, which wasn't the plan, but hey
Plain ones from Gap website - often on offer, surprisingly wash and last longer than M&S ones
The WoodWood ones I have are really nice.

I was just thinking this. Does anyone actually use shirt pockets for anything? About the only practical use I ever found for them was somewhere handy to stuff the end of my tie into when working somewhere with moving parts and a Victorian dress code.
Thanks for al the suggestions. I will take a look at them all. On the pocket thing, I’ve never used them on shirts. Wouldn’t even buy a t-shirt with a pocket. What would you even put in there?
H&M are not exactly full in premium quality, but they fit as they should and at £3 a pop you don't mind if you get a bit of oil or ketchup on them and bin them.
Trying to buy decent quality so that they last longer. Don’t want to be binning them on a regular basis because they’re badly made or get stained.
The bamboo ones from Earth Wardrobe are great for getting proper sweaty in. Love them.
Benetton do nice, long lasting V-neck t-shirts for between £16 and £18 (95%+5%elastase or 100%cotton) sourced from 100% sustainable cotton. My last ones were made in Tunisia.
My oldest are 12y and still in great condition.
Lands End are good quality, but rather expensive. Luckily they frequently offer large discounts.
For example this Henley t-shirt (3 button) is now only £9.60
Tempted by the Earth Wardrobe ones, but a bit puzzled by the size - the M ones seem to be about the same size as the L ones I'm wearing right now. Anyone able to comment on their sizing?

If you've got a job where you are on your feet a lot rather than sitting at a desk then yes, shirt pockets can be useful. At various times during the day I have a pen, specs, a couple of screws, notes, etc.
Trouser pockets are inaccessible when you're crouched or when you're up a ladder - a shirt pocket is a good place to put something you're going to need in the next couple of minutes.

£7 for organic cotton
There's organic, and there's various aspects of sustainably produced organic cotton. For £7, I'm guessing it's ticking only one of many boxes.
Yeah I'm also skeptical that something can be produced ethically/sustainably for that price.
Also, I've never ownerd a pocket T-Shirt but I use shirt pockets all the time. Mega handy to have a small notebook and pen in there sometimes.
