[#10289891]

Going to see Matilda with my family tomorrow (two 9 yr old girls) as well as my mother and father in law. Has anyone got any good recommendations for family-friendly places to eat, most cuisines considered (they like curry, sushi etc) but nothing too expensive please! We'll be eating early evening after the matinee showing.

Muchos gracias

COSMO world buffet. Bottomless drinks, slightly.... very slightly classier than you're average buffet. Every food you could ever think of = no moaning from anyone.

Zizzis. Do it on Tesco vouchers if you have them.

Rudys Pizza. Delicious. Also has the benefit of a Brewdog next door...

One of my daughters is called Izzi. She always finds Zizzi's amusing for that.

Tmass - nice idea but I am driving 🙁

It's at the palace so depending on where you have parked.... walk up oxford road towards Manchester and go to Chinatown and find something there.

Went see U2 on Friday and I went Reds True Barbecue and it was very nice indeed.

Edhornby - We're parking on Oxford Street in the NCP.

I have tried Red's and I really like it but not sure about one of my girls as she isn't so much into that sort of food (the other loves burgers etc) and they don't seem to do much that' really child friendly.

Bundobust isn't far from the Palace and it's very very very very nice...

You could wander down to Hatch on Oxford Road by Man Met - lots of options there.

Apparently the burrito place on the other side of Oxford St by The Palace is ace too

There's no need to go to a chain - you're spoilt for choice in Central Manchester.

After paying what I think you've paid for the tickets you'll be wanting somewhere cheap! There's a Chinese blowout buffet opposite the Ibis on Portland Street that's excellent value.

They weren't that bad (and were a present from granny and grandad, hence them coming too) - especially compared to London prices :-O - we just looked at London Panto tickets (at the Palladium) after the show we were meant to be seeing at Leeds First Direct Arena was cancelled. £180 a ticket WT a F!
