Fabulous machines - great to see some positive images from Detroit. You need balloon tyres for the roads in Detroit!

If it's bringing together people who would never usually meet, in places where many would never venture, I'd say there's a very big point.

It's awesome and Detroit needs some awesome

I can't help but think in that pic above that the bike almost looks like an electric guitar - rear wheel & frame.
I'd have shaped it & painted it to make it look like she was riding an Gibson Les Paul or something....
Made the front end as stealth as possible, so you can just see the guitar bit at first glance.
