I'm opening a new letting agency next month and one of the jobs we'll be doing is sprucing up property photographs.
The in thing now is to photoshop a nice sunny sky over the top of the property.
I've never used Photoshop at all, total newbie.
Which version will I need and how easy is it?
Running an iMac on Yosemite and Parallels/Win8.1 so can choose which OS...

😆 really?
Would love to see an example of that if you have one.
Why not post up your images here? Some kind soul will sort it out in no time. We've had great results in the past.
I'll be sure to check this in the morning.

Photoshop would be an expensive way to do it. A lot of basic photo editors will be fine. Gimp or paint.net
Loving the wide angle shots. Combined with an ultra blue sky you might as well live in a computer game...
Try pixelmator. Designed to run on a Mac, I've found it to be very good. Easily capable of what you want and a damn site cheaper than PS!
OP, you can pay me to do them for you if you want 😀
Qualified graphic designer, been using photoshop for oooooh maybe 18 years I think.
I must be one of the exceptions but I'm more bothered about the inside of the house and the fee's the agent is charging than the sky behind the house.
Be known as being fair and reasonable to Landlords and Tenants and the sky could be purple and raining aliens and people will still look at the houses.
jimjam email me at mick@properlet.co.uk please...
Let me know how much you'd want per picture.
I was in discussions with someone who's done our design work, but she's been an absolute ball ache to deal with, I'd say there's shitloads of work for you to have the opportunity of working on, but you've hear all that before 🙂

I've got a bunch on a cd somewhere, I used to do it all the time for estate agents who would send in really dull, flat photos taken on dull cloudy days. Dead easy to select a mono-coloured sky then drop another sky into the selected area. I had quite a collection of skies taken at different times of the day, with the sun at different angles to get the most appropriate sky for the photo in question.
The clients were very happy indeed, it just made the whole place look more cheerful.
Wow, just clicked on the link, I'm not jealous at all of what 600 a month can get you in Wigan (thinks of leaving HK and moving back to the UK).
You do know the law on misrepresentation don't you?
It applies to your industry..
Just sayin like.

That's what your head is telling you....
Is the agency in Newcastle? Not sure that anyone will fall for that one.
Why don't you post a typical image up here and STWers will work out which is the best package for you? 😉
*gets cup of tea and biscuits*
I loved when my new house was photographed under an azure blue sky*. We get them all the time in Hebden 😐
*this may be a lie.
Well, you learn something new every day. Had no idea this went on. Sure, for house sales with the classic wide-angle lens, but when I was last in the market to rent a flat it was such a seller's market that getting any information except the rent was like pulling teeth. I remember finding one place in the right area and under budget, sent the landlord a message asking for photos. Two days later I received a sideways-on thumbnail of a washing machine 🙄
Right, enough's enough, where the **** is Jamie?!
He's gone to a better place.
🙂
