Funny things you see on the trails... Over the last 6 or so years I've been riding past this and taking a peek at it as I fly past, but today as I rode past it seems to have grown somewhat. Now there are 2 sections to it, one on the main tree and one behind under the fallen tree. Just to give it some balance I thought I'd stick a very filthy MrSchmancy in the pic..

Lone tree looks a great spot.
I would love to try it with a 120 film camera.
Just got a Nikon FM2n, only have one lens with a manual aperture ring, a 35mm f2.
Love the simplicity of it, really easy to use.

Just looking at the map, we changed our plan because of the rain but i think it is at 317 092 on the southeast lakes OS map near the footpath, fairly easy to get to from Grasmere. Just behind the picture is another large boulder. Didn't have much time when i was there so I'd be interested to see what you come up with! It reminded me of the famous rowan tree of glencoe. Looks like it takes some battering in the wind!
