Anyone heading out and about to try and capture the stunning winter scenery might want to pay attention here.

If your local river is frozen over for the first time in your living memory, do not, repeat DO NOT, hold on to a tree and test the ice to see how thick it is. It will never end well.

That is all.

unless the ice is thick enough, or you weigh as much as 'realman' does

we once sledged across the Ladybower Reservoir, hugely silly that was.

i'll add a similar tip, don't assume that the smart shoes you are wearing inside to photograph a conference will be sufficient to allow you to take setup shots outside the venue, that also will not end well

Had a nice ride over the lake near me. But only after I saw 3 other adult makes running over it together, I'm no tester!
