So having got my trusty G12 repaired only for me to drop it into the Hooge crater,I need a new camera. It will be up the hills a lot and I don't want interchangeable lenses, budget is approx £150. So; Fuji x10 or another g12 or what... Daft as it,I think the Rx100 looks a bit soulless, but then I like flat ti bars and 853 hardtails. Any other cameras I should be looking at?
I've got (as well as an 853 hardtail) a Panasonic LX-7. F1.4 lens. Built in ND filter. Good quality video. Only downside for me is that it doesn't have a viewfinder as standard (there is an electronic one available) which I find difficult to use with older eyes.
Worth thinking about.
Rich.
My dad has a Canon G12. It has failed numerous times, with the famous "lens error". So he has sent it off, and had it repaired under warranty.
So I would avoid any of the Canon Powershots, especially for cycling, where it might get bashed etc.
Fair point,it was the lens error that had been repaired on mine.
