I was quite happy with my black and white screened phone where I could text and call but for some reason I've got this flash new thing I dont understand. Should I turn on "packet data" when I have only 100mega thingies worth of interweb use a month or should I turn it on only when I want to look at porn?
I still have a B&W nokia 🙂

Which phone have you got? Has it got wifi so that you can use your home Internet to download a nice pic of Gav?

Packet data lets the phone access the internet quickly and in such a way that's charged by the megabyte. Otherwise it would have to dial up which would cost you bajillions.
Turning it on doens't use any data, it depends what your phone is actually going to do. Like, what apps you have running and whatnot.
