What is the difference? What are the benefits of self-propelled over push? Does the roller on a self-propelled give you a better lawn and is it worth the additional expense for a modest-sized family lawn?

Thing is, I (occasionally) use a push petrol on the shared lawn in the property we currently live in and it isn't an issue so if the only benefit is not having to push it then I don't think it will be worth it. Hmm, the new lawn is on a bit of a slope though...

Push. Its lighter and its one less thing to break. I used to work in a squad cutting grass in housing estates there was always a scramble to dodge the self propel!
