Mrs J wants a petrol vanette type thing. There are a few 2011 or later models on auto trader which look attractive - and haven't been mobility converted.
Anything to look for / avoid?
TIA

I used to drive a 1.3 petrol for work and it was dire, we own a 1.9 diesel and it's ace..
Dire in a woefully underpowered 'I'm gonna need first soon if this hill keeps going up' and 'I'm stuck behind this lorry but if I try to pull out someone's going to smash into me' way..
Dire...

Ask a garage how easy they are to work on. The diesel version has a very tight engine compartment: to replace the water pump, the engine has to be dropped, and clutch assembly takes hours. Petrol engine may have more space.
Oh and the trim falls off if you fart, and the electric window drives on ours failed at six years old/60k. (was a basic model)

1.3TD here.

New set of injectors at 70,000, 45mpg, slow but quite torquey from 2000-4000rpm.

Passenger window motor just gone.

I'd get a petrol next time.
