They do taste a bit different but basically, as per Coke Zero, Max is aimed at blokes who want a diet drink but are too macho to be seen drinking one...
(though I'll admit to preferring it to Diet Pepsi. Guess I'm macho 🙂 )

I think you probably mean lesions.
Every substance is dangerous to us to some extent and/ or at a certain concentration (look up "oxygen toxicity" for a good example), I guess you have to not do anything in excess and trust the regulators to do their job well almost all of the time.

To apreciate the great taste of (any) cola, I have to drink the sugar free version. Coke Zero and pepsi max taste a bit like proper pop.
