After last night's performance by May I suspect it will be very busy.
Not really the marching type but think I will pop along. Was planning on getting into King’s Cross about 11 then taking a leisurely walk to Park Lane as I suspect tube and buses will be mobbed..

We will be hopping on the train from Birmingham. It’s not just Londoners that wish to remain.
The people need to be asked whether they still support Brexit and if so the deal presented as it represents the worst of both worlds for both those who wish to leave and those who wish to remain. The PM keeps insisting it is the will of the people, if she is so sure she should have no problem putting it to the ballot box and giving the people the final say.

Yep. That's the thing though. One of the key reasons that we have Brexit is that the hinterland of the,UK has been run down and deprived whilst a disproportionate amount of effort, money, jobs and opportunities are channelled down to SE England. It would never occur to Londoners that perhaps the rest of the UK isn't as happy with this approach. Hence why that imbecile Dave called the ref.

That's irrelevant to the outcome. Brexit or no-Brexit if you live outside the SE, the government really don't care.

Brexit was sold on a bunch of lies and falsehoods so now that what Brexit entails is a bit more known then the people should have the opportunity to vote again because we can now be sure that what's on offer changed from the virtual carrots that Farage / Boris et al were dangling in front of the public.
It may not make a difference but it is something that I can do, similar to signing the petition, will it make a difference, who knows, but it might.

wrightyson, yes there was a vote about leaving the eu, people were persuaded to leave by lots of advertising about the benefits of doing so. Some of these benefits have been shown to be not entirely accurate.
All I want now is that we have a vote again because now we have a better understanding of what 'leaving the eu' actually means.
The best analogy I've heard so far is something similar to:

This may be a result of the deliberate misinformation which was (and continues) to be propagated. The illegal activity of the leave campaign. The forecasts which show in no scenario where our economy will be stronger. The extremely limited benefits. And the fact the government never had any strategy, and with a week to go are still unable to communicate any credible plan.

News broadcasts about nothing every bloody day, multiple threads on your favourite forum based website, marches up & down the country, politicians coming and going, general outrage, a new word for cake being invented, being given multiple dates that you'll be able to have good scoff on your cake... still no cake, still no idea what flavour cake.

Yeah, but the 70s was a while ago, so we've had a second and hopefully a third in a while. We should have them every couple of years as the old people die off and aspirations change. Or we could leave it to the professionals ...

Personally, I don't think there should have been a vote the first time, and I don't think there should be another.
The chaos in parliament comes down to the belief that the disadvantages of the Brexit options presented to us far outweigh the advantages. The government which gave the public this choice held the same belief. I'd prefer to leave these decisions with professionals in the field, and not with a bunch of old blokes down the pub, or Mavis next door.

It was just a question designed to encourage wider debate. No need to get aggressive.
I'd like another vote to kick the local councillor type out. He's a true blue, but assured all of us in our little town that he would vehemently oppose any change to the local green belt which would allow more houses to be built before local brownfield sites were developed. Guess which way the stupid **** voted two weeks ago when the council had to make the decision. Brown envelopes all day long.

I am not sure I have more faith in that option really. Dont get me wrong it should be the better option but since the job interview is based on charming the local party most of the time rather than professional competence the process has shown strong flaws.

I'd be going but my wife is already taking our 11 year old daughter and a friend to a show (booked a while back) in the West End for her birthday. Train gets into Victoria at 12:30. I'll be glad when they're all back home to be honest.

While I would prefer to be able to attend a march in a local city, I would rather not be part of the disruption to local business they this would cause- I reckon London is better prepared for large protests. Plus if you want to speak truth to power you kind of need to bang on their door...
More than 1/2 people on the coach are on their first march.
