I bought my daughter her first pay as you go phone today. She wanted a ringtone which I ordered from the internet for her. However, I then rang Virgin mobile who tell me I have to pay £15 to unblock the phone.
Why do I need to pay to unblock it? It's brand new with credit on it?

Because they have you by the short and curlys. Unfortunate, but true.

You shouldn't need to unblock it to add a ringtone.
